Gantry Milling Machine Endura® 300LINEAR

The ENDURA® 300LINEAR is a state-of-the-art 5-axis gantry milling machine, especially suitable for the 5-sided finishing of workpieces made of plastics, composite materials (CFRP, GFRP), model building block materials (Ureol) and aluminum, as well as for HSC machining of cast iron and steel materials.

The 5-axis portal milling machine is particularly characterized by its excellent machining area to footprint ratio.


This provides the customer with maximum travels within a minimum of floor space. This makes the machine particularly suitable for installation in workshops with limited space.

Thanks to the inherently rigid machine bed construction in monobloc design and the resulting even load distribution, no additional foundation is required.

A standard industrial hall floor is sufficient. Optimal accessibility ensures easy set-up, both in one- and two-place machining. FOOKE portal milling machines of the ENDURA® 300LINEAR series offer an economical entry into 5-axis universal machining due to their excellent price/performance ratio.

Features, technology and equipment:

  • Ultramodern GANTRY milling machine:
    Traversing overhead gantry in X direction.
  • Design of the machine:
    Machine bed (X-axis) made of solid cast iron, side parts, cross slide and portal (Y-axis) as welded steel construction, travel beam (Z-axis) made of cast iron.
  • Drive technology of linear axes:
    Water-cooled linear drives in the linear axes Y and Z, X-axis as rack and pinion - GANTRY drive and drive motors in MASTER - SLAVE alignment.
  • No foundation required: Due to the high rigidity of the machine bed, a standard industrial floor, approx. 300 mm thick, steel-reinforced, is sufficient for installation; a special foundation is not required. The machine is set up and aligned by fixators bolted to the hall floor
  • Measuring systems:
    The X axis is equipped with an indirect measuring system and the Y, Z and rotary axes are equipped with direct measuring systems.
  • Z-axis weight compensation:
    Highly dynamic pneumatic cylinders support the drive of the Z-axis.
  • Safety system of linear axes:
    The linear axes are equipped with a safety system that can brake and safely hold the axes in case of voltage loss.
  • Linear axes guides:
    The linear axes are equipped with hardened and ground, backlash-free pre-tensioned guide elements.
